Free Advertising for Small Businesses

No business can simple rely on word of mouth all the time. Most businesses have to do some advertising. Typically small businesses do the normal thing, advertising in local papers and get an advert in yell.com. But times have moved on and if you have not taken advantage of all the free advertising opportunities on the internet yet, then why not!?!

Whether you have a website or not some of these sites will be very useful to your online marketing and advertising campaigns and most importantly most are FREE. Most of your customers these days will look on the internet to find a product or service, if you do not advertise online you are missing out on thousands of potential customers.

Getting a website built is only the start of your online advertising activities. Once your website is handed over to you, you have to promote it. Ever wondered how google decide which website to show at the top of their list when you type in your search? Well, it isn’t random! One of the things they look at is how popular your website is, partly determined by the number and quality of links from other sites to you. These links are seen as a vote for your website.
